LYNBROOK, NY: In case you missed it, the New York Post reported on Congresswoman Laura Gillen’s (NY-04) newly introduced bill “Gio’s Law” named in honor of 14-year-old Giovanni Cipriano, a Lynbrook High School freshman who died in 2013 after going into anaphylactic shock during a family vacation.

LYNBROOK, NY – Today, Congresswoman Laura Gillen (D-NY-04) and Congressman Andrew Garbarino (R-NY-02) announced the introduction of H.R. 4019, known as “Gio’s Law”. This bipartisan legislation is being introduced in honor of Nassau County native Giovanni Cipriano, who passed away from a severe allergic reaction at age 14. Gio’s Law would establish a national Department of Justice (DOJ) grant program that provides access to and training on epinephrine products for law enforcement officers.
