Internships

WASHINGTON, D.C. OFFICE 

Congresswoman Gillen’s Washington, D.C. office is accepting applications for the Spring 2026 Internship Program. The spring interns will assist with the day-to-day workings and operations of the office, including, but not limited to:    

  • Answering constituent phone calls   

  • Attending committee hearings and briefings   

  • Working with legislative and communications staff on projects  

  • Assisting in the coordination of White House and U.S. Capitol tours   

  • Drafting and responding to constituent correspondence  

  • Assisting with the mail program   

Interns will gain insight into the legislative process, network with staff, and learn about the inner workings and responsibilities of a congressional office.   

Our internship program is seeking qualified undergraduate or graduate students, or recent college graduates to apply for either a part-time or full-time position. Interns will receive a monthly stipend.   

The D.C. Office operates Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, and the spring internship will run from January to May 2026.  

The deadline to apply for Congresswoman Gillen’s DC Spring 2026 Internship is November 14th at 5PM. 

Individuals with district ties are strongly encouraged to apply.

GARDEN CITY, NY OFFICE 

Congresswoman Gillen’s Garden City, NY office is accepting applications for the Spring 2026 Internship Program. The spring interns will assist with the day-to-day workings and operations of the office, including, but not limited to:    

  • Answering constituent phone calls   

  • Attending and providing support for offsite field work  

  • Aiding in outreach efforts  

  • Working with casework and administrative staff on projects  

  • Assisting with research and certifications   

  • Supporting staff for meeting preparations  

Interns will learn about constituent relations and will assist with frontline operations, network with staff, and learn about the inner workings and responsibilities of a congressional office.   

Our internship program is seeking qualified undergraduate or graduate students, or recent college graduates to apply for either a part-time or full-time position. Interns will receive a monthly stipend.   

The Garden City office operates Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 PM Eastern Time, and the Spring internship will run from January to May 2026.  

The deadline to apply for Congresswoman Gillen’s Garden City Spring 2026 Internship is December 5th at 5PM.
