ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY – Today, Congresswoman Laura Gillen (NY-04) hosted a press conference to announce $1,031,000 of new federal law enforcement funding she secured through the Fiscal Year 2026 appropriations process for the Village of Rockville Centre. The funding will invest in high-grade police security cameras to help prevent and solve crimes throughout Rockville Centre. 

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Laura Gillen (D-NY-04), Delegate Kimberlyn King-Hinds (R-MP-At Large), both members of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, and Congressman Ryan Mackenzie (R-PA-07) introduced the Child Automobile Restraint Safety Education and Training (CAR SEAT) Act. This bipartisan bill would direct the Secretary of Transportation to launch an education campaign on the dangers of noncompliant and counterfeit child restraint systems, including car seats and booster seats. The bill would also allow states and localities to use federal highway safety funds for public information and education activities to help families identify and avoid such products.
