Gillen Votes No on GOP Budget Bill

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Laura Gillen (NY-04) released the following statement on H.Con. Res. 14:

“The budget proposal put forward today would be devastating to Nassau County. It would gut Medicaid and rip health care away from tens of thousands of children, nursing home residents, and members of the special needs community. It would force struggling working parents and veterans who use SNAP to put food on the table to go hungry. It does nothing to bring down costs or make life more affordable for the middle class. 

“While I will always look for ways to work across the aisle to help Long Island, this budget proposal would hurt my constituents. I voted no.”
