WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Laura Gillen (NY-04) thanked Nassau County law enforcement for their tireless work to keep Long Islanders safe:

“Every day, Long Island’s law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to keep our communities and our loved ones safe. As we celebrate National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, I join in thanking our police officers, sheriffs, state troopers, and highway patrol officers for their dedication to the people of Long Island and the sacrifices they make to protect and serve. We must continue to invest in our law enforcement agencies and ensure that police officers have the training and resources they need to protect themselves and our communities.
