Gillen Joins Operation Benjamin; Restores Accuracy to Headstones of Jewish Servicemen
WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Monday, Congresswoman Laura Gillen (NY-04) joined Operation Benjamin to unveil new headstones at Arlington National Cemetery that restored accuracy to Jewish servicemen who served in WWI.
“I was honored to join Operation Benjamin and Rockville Centre resident Freda Wagner at Arlington National Cemetery to unveil the new headstones for Freda’s relative PVT David Moser and PFC Adolph Hanf,” said Rep. Gillen. “As Jewish communities face an unacceptable rise in antisemitism, it’s critical that we accurately honor and recognize the contributions of Jewish American servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.”
