Gillen Joins Bipartisan HFAC Roundtable with Long Island’s Neutra Family, Families of U.S. Hostages Held by Hamas

February 12, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Laura Gillen (NY-04) released the following statement after meeting with the Neutra family and other family members of Americans held hostage by Hamas following the October 7th attack on Israel during a bipartisan roundtable held by the House Foreign Affairs Committee:

“Today’s roundtable was an important opportunity for Members of both parties to hear directly from the families of Americans held in captivity by Hamas terrorists and share our deep determination to see every hostage returned home. This is a critical fight for our entire community on Long Island – we will never forget the memory of our own Omer Neutra, one of many innocent victims murdered by Hamas terrorists on October 7th. Thank you to Omer’s parents, Ronen and Orna, for joining us this morning. Their dedication to honoring Omer’s memory and pushing for the release of the remaining hostages is an inspiration to us all. We cannot and will not rest until every remaining hostage is safely reunited with their loved ones.”
